CANADIAN WOMEN'S FOUNDATION PRESENTATION

CAWIC Members and Friends attended  a meeting hosted by Borden Ladner Gervais, LLP and arranged by CAWIC Member, Denise Bambrough . A presentation by Directors of Canadian Women's Foundation (CWF), Cindy Wagman and Chanel Greenaway provided an overview of CWF and its work with Women in Trades as a strategy for moving low income women out of poverty. The emphasis was on a new initiative involving partnership with RONA and an exploration of a potential role that CAWIC could play. RONA's role is described in detail in a press release issued on March 8th, International Women's Day.
