General Contractors' Section, Toronto Bursary

General Contractors' Section, Toronto is a not for profit organization that serves construction employers in the GTA who are bound by one or more of six civil trade collective agreements covering the Industrial, Commercial and Institutional sectors of the construction industry.

General Contractors' Section, Toronto is proud to announce the GCS Toronto Bursary. This bursary will be presented yearly to assist a woman pursuing a career in the construction industry and assisting that individual to be successful by focusing on her studies and not on how she will pay for her education.

General Contractors' Section, Toronto Bursary - Qualifications

One $2,000.00 bursary will be awarded annually to a successful female applicant.  In addition to CAWIC's general bursary criteria, the successful applicant must:

- commit to active participation in and support of CAWIC for one full year; and

- have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Students who wish to apply for this bursary must provide the following:

-Completed Application Form.
-Two letters of reference with at least one from a current college or university instructor. Letters from family members are not permitted. CAWIC reserves the right to contact references.
-A copy of most recent grade transcript demonstrating a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
-A covering letter describing your career objectives in the construction industry as well as the areas in which you intend to actively participate in CAWIC.
