It was the summer of 2004 when men then student Jessica Vliegenthart landed a coveted summer job fighting forest fires. One day, Vliegenthart's crew received word that a large scale blaze had broken out in the Northwest Territories. They set out for the long trek up north, not knowing if their "tour" would last days or stretch into weeks.
